NCCR MSE is running a collaboration with the Master of Transdisciplinary Studies at the Zurich University of the Arts (Zürcher Hochschule der Künste; ZHdK) to foster an exchange among artists and scientists since 2017.
What can make a discussion between artists and scientists possible? How can artists and scientists meet and what are the motives for a collaboration? Which questions and concerns possibly concern both fields and where can aesthetic competencies be made productive within such collaborations?
These and other questions are tackled by an "open lab" that enables the exchange between scientists and artists that culminates with various artistic projects within this collaboration.
