Forerunner Projects are small collaborative projects that last 3 to 6 months. Goals include a solution to a current specific challenge in the process of TT or a proof of concept. Financial support for the research undertaken at the Universities can be obtained by individual Universities or CTI (see links in the column on the right).
Collaborative Research Projects are middle to long term prospective research projects leading to a technology transfer into the company. They typically last 2 to 4 years. These projects can be proposed for federal funding through two channels (CTI or SNSF projects).
Staff Exchange Projects are an excellent tool to maximize the knowledge transfer during a project: employees of companies can be hosted by the NCCR Lab or a NCCR researchers can carry out the project or parts of it within the company. The typical duration of these exchange are 6 months to 4 years.
IP & NDA rules are defined case by case within the specific project.
