Regular Technology Apéros will initiate and develop contacts between researchers of the NCCR Molecular Systems Engineering and the different industry sectors. The 4th Technology Apero "Molecular Engineering for the Industry" took place in Basel on 17 November 2017.
“Based on the portfolio of projects, we will approach the relevant industry and propose collaborations. As a first step, we will raise the interest of the industry with regular ‘Technology Apéros’. Here, the main objective is to initiate and develop contacts between researchers and the different industry sectors and lead them towards a fruitful discussion”, says Niklaus Bühler who assures the Industrial Relations of the NCCR Molecular Systems Engineering.
This event with changing topics is by registration only and is held yearly to further develop contacts between researchers of the NCCR Molecular Systems Engineering and representatives from the different industry sectors. Previous events in Basel and Lausanne (EPFL) were followed by the 4th Technology Apéro on 17 November 2017 at the University of Basel.

The second Technology Apéro took place at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), at the Swiss Tech Convention Center.
Hosted by NCCR co-direcotr Daniel Müller, guest-speakers Dr. Harry Heinzelmann from CSEM and Dr. Christof Fattinger from Roche Innovation Center talked about "Molecular Transport and Storage". Speakers from the NCCR Molecular Systems Engineering were Francesco Stellacci, Stefan Matile, Oliver Wenger and Dimitros Fotiadis. The Apéro and a poster session ended the informative afternoon in Lausanne.
This event was supported by NCCR Molecular Systems Engineering, EPFL, BASF Schweiz AG and IBM Research Zurich.
The first Technology Apéro entitled "Molecular Machines – a Vision" took place on 5 December 2014 at the University of Basel. The event addressed research management and scientific staff from pharmaceutical, chemical and general technology-oriented industry. Various project leaders and the directors of the NCCR Molecular Systems Engineering presented their vision and displayed their research in a poster-show.
