NCCR Molecular Systems Engineering is headed by the University of Basel and the ETH Zurich. The basis of the NCCR consists of research projects led by one or more Project Leaders and organized into Work Packages. Each Work Package is headed by two Work Package Leaders.
The Steering Committee comprises the Work Package Leaders, the Director and Co-Director, the Scientific Officer and the Managing Director (the latter two without the right to vote). The Steering Committee is the central leading and decision-making body and meets on a regular basis to maximize progress and coordinate the scientific effort as a whole.
The Executive Board comprises the Director, the Co-Director, the Scientific Officer and the Managing Director (the latter two without right to vote). It has global responsibility for all scientific, financial and management issues, as well as the activities concerning advancement of young researchers, equal opportunity and technology transfer.
The Management Team comprises experts in Finance, HR, Scientific Coordination, Ethics, Communication, Knowledge & Technology Transfer, Education & Training, Equal Opportunities and Administration. It acts as an operational center, manages the NCCR together with the Executive Board, supports the activities in all management areas and provides documents and reports required by the SNSF.
